Tech demise icon Matt Miller is dropping his newest album, Fiber Tormentum, through Exitus Stratagem Data on September 12.
Recognized together with his work touring with Rings of Saturn and Possessed, his solo undertaking was spawned by the pandemic, which impressed him to make his personal music with collaborators Jordan Kelso (drums/synth), Justice Robinett (bass), and Biko Wright (vocals).
“This album is probably the most formidable undertaking I’ve ever labored on. We pushed ourselves to our limits, by no means settled, and created one thing that’s each technically brutal and emotionally resonant. It’s a glimpse into our lives, our evolution, and our imaginative and prescient for what metallic might be,” says Miller.
The album art work was created by the late Joshua Nassaru Ward (Voraath) and displays the theme of the album, manipulation of human DNA and the potential hurt to the human race that may come from it. The title is impressed by Roman historical past, the sound of a ballista’s ropes tightening earlier than launch.
