On Saturday (July fifth) on the star-studded occasion “Again to the Starting: Ozzy’s Closing Bow,” Disturbed singer David Draiman was met with boos from a portion of the group.
The incident occurred throughout an all-star jam that consisted of Draiman, Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Mike Bordin (Religion No Extra), Adam Wakeman (Ozzy Osbourne), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Nuno Bettencourt (Excessive), and others. Fronting the short-term supergroup, Draiman led these musicians in a canopy of Ozzy’s “Shot within the Darkish” and Black Sabbath’s “Candy Leaf.”
Whereas it has not been confirmed, it appears Draiman could have been booed as a result of he’s an outspoken supporter of Israel.
The Disturbed frontman has been extraordinarily vocal on social media about his stance on the battle between Israel and Palestine, drawing a lot criticism from followers.
In line with a Twitter/X person current at “Again to the Starting,” Draiman responded to the boos by asking the group: “We gonna begin this!?”
