Within the final eight years, multi-instrumentalist Eric Wing has issued one-person black steel and dying steel releases underneath a handful of monikers/types (Lavatory Burial, Scoundrel, Silver, Morose). Wing, who gives vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards on Morke’s newest was assisted by session drummer CJ Yacoub (Canus Dirus, Vulning) and visitor guitarist/vocalist Tanner Anderson (Obsequiae), who added guitar to “Ashes of Feudalism” and ”Wisterian Arbor” and vocals to “Coup D’oeil.” To Carry On is outwardly extra melodic than previous Morke efforts, with chiming, majestic reverb-heavy guitar traces offering the echoing “fort steel” vibe Wing has been pursuing with the venture.
