Keaton Henson returns with a brand new single, “Lazy Magician,” his first new materials since 2024’s instrumental album Somnambulant Cycles. Co-written with Ratboys’ Julia Steiner and produced by Luke Sital-Singh, the observe blends fuzzy distortion and grunge-influenced guitars with Henson’s signature vulnerability.
Henson sings, “I’m a lazy beginner magician / I can’t even make myself disappear,” whereas Steiner replies, “I’m a defective excessive flying acrobat / I can hardly get myself off the bed,” earlier than the music bursts right into a hovering hook that nods to ’90s power-pop and 2000s indie storage rock.
On the collaboration, Henson says:
