Following the critically acclaimed Gigi’s Restoration and their debut album, 2019’s Once I Have Fears, Blindness is the vividly realised, clear-sightedly bold new album from The Homicide Capital. A document that’s each momentous and charged with momentum. That’s filled with geography – of the thoughts, and of a Dublin-formed band whose members are actually scattered round Eire, London and Europe – but bristles with the extraordinary power of an album finely wrought in three pacy weeks within the studio in Los Angeles. That’s intimate and concurrently expansive. Eleven songs that don’t dangle about by way of grabbing the listener.
The album finds the band re-energised after earlier years of heavy touring after recording the album in LA with the Grammy-award-winning producer John Congleton who the band beforehand labored with on Gigi’s Restoration.
