U.S. Women Shares Video for New Tune “Like James Stated”

U.S. Women (aka Meghan Remy) is releasing a brand new album, Scratch It, on June 30 through 4AD. Now she has shared its second single, “Like James Stated,” through a music video. Comic Tom Henry stars in and directed the tune’s video. Watch it beneath.
The James of “Like James Stated” is soul legend James Brown. A press launch says the tune is “in regards to the therapeutic energy of dancing alone” and is Remy’s lyrical response to Brown’s “Get Up Offa That Factor.”
Henry had this to say about directing and starring within the tune’s video: “When Meg talked to me about making some form of video about this tune that talks about dancing, I had a sudden bolt of inspiration—how a couple of video about dancing? I don’t understand how these concepts come to me.
“To me, this character has a narrative, however in the end, I simply suppose somebody attempting to do one thing nicely, who doesn’t absolutely have the colleges to try this, is humorous and attention-grabbing, and probably unhappy—the 2 and a half issues I wish to be as a comic.
